Michael Saputo (born July 30, 1982) is a fictional professional wrestler who performs under the name Mike Bent. Known not only for his in-ring ability, but his mic skills as well, he is widely acknowledged as a forced to be reckoned with. Throughout the years, Bent has gained a bit of infamy for how he deals with those that cross him, most notably for his "pipe bomb" in OPW and how he spurned the promotion while holding their grandest prize. It was from that day forth that he was known as "the man with the stones", and is one of the reasons why he dons the infinity gauntlet when he wrestles. Mike is also regarded by many as one of the best creators in all the pro-wrestling gaming community.

Early life[]

Handsome, charismatic, charming, talented, well-spoken and well-sculpted, things weren't always this way for Mike Bent. As a youth, Mike was none of these things. Unconfident, overweight, and a mumbler, he was often only sought out to be picked on. To many people, it seemed as if his only friend was his bicycle.

That all changed when local tough guy, Crazy Chris, already a grown man at the time, stole his bike, and decided to ghost ride it into an oncoming train. It was then, that Mike realized that it was time to stop being polite, and start getting real.

In the coming weeks and months, Bent found his two loves, writing and wrestling. As a writer, he harnessed his writing ability by adding rhythm as he fell in love with hip-hop, and used it as a way to talk about life's crazier experiences, releasing several mixtapes along the way. Those experiences are best described by sharing a link. As an amateur wrestler, competing as a pre-teen, unexperienced, he found himself losing early and often. But he was determined. Like with many things, patience is a virtue. With years of hard work, exercise (without a bike), and learning technique by training with his brother, Red Dog, he eventually made a name for himself as he rose through the ranks. However, everything wasn't sunshine and rainbows along the way. Come to find out, there's no cheat codes in life.

With a foul mouth and a bad temper, Bent often found his way into trouble. It was sooner rather than later, that he found himself in too deep. As a hothead, locker room antics didn't always sit right with him. That all came to a head when after a tough night at his hometown promotion, Pro Ghetto Wrestling (PGW). He was jumped by Red Dog's faction, the Allegiance, again, and it was one time too many. He blacked out. Losing control of his temper, his emotions, and his senses, in a fit of rage he stalked the members individually and exacted revenge any way he could. He slammed people's heads into walls, into each other, hit them with chairs, fire extinguishers, kendo sticks, and even took a sledgehammer to his brother Red Dog's flat screen TV in his private lounge.

In the midst of the chaos, the venue was robbed, and Bent was in no mood to even care as he watched the thief fly by and escape without interference. That thief took off on a bike. It wasn't until Mike walked out of the arena and his ride didn't show, that he noticed the flashing lights down the street.

When he approached the crime scene, Mike was devastated to find that his uncle Ben was lying there, in a pool of his own blood. No car was in sight, but a familiar looking bicycle was, and struggling for breath, uncle Ben uttered his last words... "Crazy... Chris."

It was a bad time in life for Mike. He shut down. He stopped wrestling. Just as things were taking off he lost his passion for what he loved. With the loss of his uncle Ben, Mike wasn't even able to make rice let alone eat it. Crazy Chris was eventually caught by police, but when it came time to bring him to justice, the DA cited a lack of evidence as the bicycle disappeared from the police lockup, dropped the charges, and Crazy Chris was in the wind. Lamenting in a whirlwind of tragedy and depression which lasted over a year, Mike finally decided that he needed to make a drastic change, so in his best Kurt Russell impersonation, he escaped from New York and moved to Houston, Texas.

With wrestling as a thing of the past, Mike grew accustomed to his new life in Texas. He went to school for graphic design and made new friends. It wasn't until a couple of semesters in that he met a young woman named Adrienne. At 5'2", with brown eyes, dark skin, and thicker than Texas toast, Mike befriended her quickly. As he got to know her, it turned out that they had a lot in common. They hit it off to the point that Adrienne invited him to see her perform. What he didn't know was where he was going or what he was seeing. When he walked in to the Reality of Wrestling arena and saw Adrienne in ring gear and everyone calling her Ember Moon, he was taken aback. To say he was shocked would have been an understatement. He was so caught off guard that when she introduced him to Booker T, he said the first thing that came to mind which was, "I thought you were from Harlem!??" Booker T responded by looking at Ember, and then looking at Mike dead in the eye and saying, "Tell me you didn't just say that!!"

After embarrassing himself and Ember in front of a WWE Hall of Famer, Mike decided that he needed to redeem himself. He needed to make that up to Adrienne, Booker T, and most importantly himself. What he tried to run from had just come full circle and in his mind, there was no more denying that this was his calling. Mike Bent was back! And the rest is history.

Professional wrestling career[]

Early Career[]

Mike Bent wasn't always known as Mike Bent, but he was always a heel... or tweener at best. Whether its going into a title match under a gentleman's agreement, then knocking out the ref and clubbing his own brother with a sledgehammer to steal a championship victory, or double crossing his tag-team partner in a handicapped match for the tag team titles, then becoming his opponent's partner, only to double cross him in the following match, he's always operated out of his own self-interest. To end an era, his last match with "friends" saw him in an impromptu handicap match where he bloodied both opponents on the way to decimating them, scoring the pin-fall by making flex poses while standing on top of their lifeless bodies.

Order Professional Wrestling (OPW)[]

After first coming onto the scene in 2K18, Bent rose to power in quick fashion. After an impressive weekend of dark matches, Bent was officially introduced in a fatal-4-way for the #1 contender spot for the world championship.

All weekend in his preliminary matches, Mike faired well against everyone except one man... Alexander Knight. In the fatal-4-way match after Bent eliminated one opponent, Knight exited the ring in an attempt to sit on his haunches while the other competitors went at it. Bent followed suit, forcing Knight to return to the ring to compete. Knight did what was expected and pinned the other competitor. It was in that moment that Bent, ever the opportunist, grabbed his trusty sledgehammer a la Triple H, and made quick work of Alexander Knight, becoming the #1 contender for the OPW World Heavyweight Championship.

After winning the world championship and defending the title in his rematch against Jalova the Adonis, it seemed that the collision course between Bent and Knight was destined to happen. However, that match needed to be earned. In the mean time, Mike defended his championship against any and all comers, and reigned impressively. When that match did come around, it was all the more interesting as the stakes were high.

What's a high stakes match without a little build up, right? Bitter since his defeat in that #1 contender's match, Knight had been on a mean streak of his own capturing gold in his own right. In his path of rage, he angered just about everyone in the locker room, including Bent. In order to stir up the controversy and provoke his challenger, now the TV Title holder, Bent stalled as any good heel would. From taking an extended vacation to feigning injury, the champion managed to push the fight out a couple of weeks until the following PPV.

Since management caught wind of the heat, they decided to stack the deck against Bent and make the match a steel cage match... nowhere to run and both titles on the line. Alexander Knight made his way to the ring, donning white and gold attire, poised to claim more championship gold, he was ready. What happened next shocked the world...

The arena goes dark and Bent doesn't make his traditional entrance, rather he comes out in custom Venom attire and moves to the ring like he was possessed by a demon. In the ring it was no different. Not only did Mike Bent defeat Alexander Knight in a steel cage match, he green-barred him in an absolute annihilation to become a double champion!

The Pipe Bomb:

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. In this case, it was the opportunity for Bent to pick an opponent of his own choosing which brought it into fruition. Joking around with management about his next opponent to have an easy match and better develop his character, actually angered the top brass in the promotion. Instead of getting the opponent of his own choosing, Mike was placed in a fatal-4-way to defend his championship. Management, run by fellow in-ring talent, Superstar Steve, gave no warning, instead just made the extreme decision to disenfranchise the champion. Mike Bent, not to be outdone, responded in kind by dropping what has been dubbed, "the pipe bomb." The pipe bomb showed the true power-trippy nature of management as well as highlighted Bent's contributions to the promotion, which went beyond being an in-ring talent. Then he left the company to start his own promotion, WTF Wrestling, and took his world title with him. The feud even continued when someone working on both promotions won an OPW title and bragged about it in the new promotion. Bent immediately took the opportunity to make him defend the title, won it for himself, and remade one of OPW's most prestigious titles into the WTF Netflix and Chill Championship. It wasn't long before OPW made radical changes internally and eventually collapsed altogether.
